Having an expert make low-fat, diabetic- friendly or healthy, organic meals helps people avoid diet slips due to lack of knowledge or temptation. Personal chef may work for themselves or for a company.
Education
Earning certification through a culinary arts program at a community college, vocational or a specialized program is the best way to secure a job as a personal chef. It also helps to be a certified food handler, each state has different requirements to obtain this certification, so be sure to research. Experience is also necessary, gain skills by working a restaurant or studying under an established chef.
